23 years since the death of Valeriy Lobanovskyi

On May 13, 2025, it will be 23 years since the death of Valeriy Lobanovskyi – a genius footballer and legendary coach of Kyiv's Dynamo. He forever changed the history of the club and Ukrainian football as a whole. This information was published by 'Glavkom', referring to the official website of 'Dynamo'.

Every year on May 13, Lobanovskyi's memory is honored in Kyiv. On this day, the football community of Ukraine and the world remembers his achievements. This year, solemn events were also held.

It has already become a tradition that in the morning, the closest people come to the grave of the Master at Baikove Cemetery. Among them is his daughter Svitlana, who keeps the memory of her father, as well as his pupils: Leonid Buryak, Oleksii Mykhailychenko, Anatolii Demianenko, and others.

The memorial rally took place near the monument to Lobanovskyi, located near the 'Dynamo' stadium. Relatives, club management, fans, journalists, and young players of the Dynamo youth school named after him were present at the event. All of them are part of a large Dynamo family.
