Famous American hockey player Lisa Brown-Miller has died at the age of 58
Lisa Brown-Miller, the renowned American hockey player, has passed away at the age of 58. This information about her death was reported by the publication 'Glavkom', citing nbcsports.com.
During the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, where women's hockey made its debut, Lisa played for the USA national team, unaware that she was pregnant. She gave birth to her son Alex in August of that year. It was the American team that won the first-ever Olympic gold in women's hockey at that Time.
Brown-Miller's Career and Achievements
Lisa Brown-Miller was one of three players who participated in both the first women's world championship in 1990 and the debut Olympic tournament in 1998. She was a four-time silver medalist in world championships.
'We (the gold medalists of 1998) were pioneers, but we didn’t really realize it,' Brown-Miller said in 2010 about that historic success
In her career with the USA national team, she played 30 matches, scored 13 goals, and made 25 assists. After her playing career, Lisa worked as a commentator and coach for the women's team at Princeton University.
