In the center of Zhytomyr, the sale of alcohol is banned due to the final of the Ukrainian Cup in football.


In Zhytomyr, on May 14, on the day of the final of the Ukrainian Cup, a temporary ban on the sale of alcohol will be imposed. This decision was approved by the defense council of the Zhytomyr region.
The ban will be in effect in the area of the Central Stadium and on certain streets of the city. The restrictions will take effect 4 hours before the match starts, continuing throughout the game and for another 2 hours after its conclusion.
Details of the match
- The final of the Ukrainian Cup 2024/2025 will take place at the Central Stadium in Zhytomyr at 18:30.
- This is the first final of the tournament to be held at this stadium.
Previously, the final matches of the Ukrainian Cup were held in other cities, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Lviv. This year, in the decisive game, 'Shakhtar' and 'Dynamo' will meet, both having advanced to the final after winning their semifinals.
Organizers are taking measures to ensure safety during the match, so the restriction on alcohol sales is part of the security precautions.
