The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated information on the losses of Russian occupiers in the war with Ukraine as of January 22, 2025.
Russian losses in the war as of January 22, 2025
The Russian Federation has lost:
- personnel - approximately 823,980 (+1,950) people,
- tanks - 9,844 (+11) units,
- armored fighting vehicles - 20,485 (+8) units,
- artillery systems - 22,194 (+60) units,
- MLRS - 1,262 (+0) units,
- air defense systems - 1,050 (+1) units,
- airplanes - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 331 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs - 22,039 (+141),
- cruise missiles - 3,051 (+0),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
- motor vehicles and tankers - 34,837 (+155) units,
- special equipment - 3,711 (+1).
Activity of the occupiers' fleet on January 22
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship which is a carrier of 'Caliber' cruise missiles with the ability to launch up to four missiles;
- In the Azov Sea, there are no enemy ships;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there are six enemy ships, including two carriers of 'Caliber' cruise missiles capable of launching up to 22 missiles.
In the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, through the Kerch Strait passed:
- into the Black Sea - 11 vessels, of which four continued to the Bosphorus Strait;
- into the Azov Sea - four vessels, none of which proceeded from the Bosphorus Strait.
Currently, the 1,064th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
