Naftogaz and ORLEN signed the third agreement for the supply of 100 million cubic meters of LNG. In total, 300 million cubic meters of gas will be supplied under the three contracts.
The agreement was announced during the ORLEN GAS Meeting conference dedicated to the energy security of the region.
'This supply further strengthens the energy partnership between our companies and contributes to ensuring a reliable resource for Ukrainian consumers. We are already preparing for the next heating season, and such contracts are an important part of our strategy for diversifying supplies and ensuring the energy stability of the country,' said Naftogaz Chairman Roman Chumak.
The gas will be supplied from the USA, regasified in Poland, and transported to Ukraine through the Polish gas transportation system.
ORLEN Vice President Robert Soszynski stated that the new agreement with Naftogaz emphasizes ORLEN's growing role as a natural gas supplier in the region. It also contributes to the energy security of Ukraine by diversifying supplies and utilizing Polish gas transportation infrastructure.
