Macron urges Russia to ceasefire with Ukraine: 'tactic of dragging it out' must stop.


French President Emmanuel Macron calls on Russia to accept the joint proposal from the US and Ukraine for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. He announced this on March 14 on his official social media account.
'I spoke today with President Zelensky and then with Prime Minister Keir Starmer following the progress made at the meeting between the US and Ukraine in Jeddah on Tuesday. Russia must now accept the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire,' wrote Macron.
The French leader emphasized that Russian aggression in Ukraine must stop, as well as 'the atrocities and statements that drag out the Time'. He also noted that on Tuesday a meeting with about 40 chiefs of staff took place in Paris.

'Tomorrow we will continue to work on strengthening support for Ukraine and a lasting peace by holding a video conference with Prime Minister Starmer, President Zelensky, and all our partners,' added Macron.
It should be noted that Zelensky commented on the situation in the Kursk region and near Pokrovsk.
