The Euro will be introduced in another country - where this will happen from January 1.


The national currency of the European Union - the euro, will officially become a new monetary unit in another country. Thus, from January 1, 2025, transactions in euros will take place in Bulgaria.
The European Parliament supported the respective decision, the press service reports.
Bulgaria's accession to the EU - what is known
Thus, the country will join the eurozone and become the 21st member of the European Union.
'This signifies the completion of a careful accession process for Bulgaria, which involved strict analysis and intensive preparation.' - said Denmark's Minister of Economy, Stephanie Lose.
What will happen to the exchange rate in Bulgaria
The exchange rate will be 1.95583 leva per 1 euro. It is known that euro coins and euro cents will be in circulation. The denominations will be 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents.
The 1 euro coin will feature the image of the Bulgarian saint - Saint John of Rila. The 2 euro coin has been decided to be decorated with the image of the historian Paisius of Hilendar.
Earlier, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, stated that Ukraine is successfully carrying out the necessary reforms for EU accession even in the conditions of war with the Russian Federation. The EU is convinced that Ukraine will become a full-fledged member of the European community.
Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund stated that transactions in euros will also be introduced in Ukraine. It is known when this might happen.
