The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as of the morning of Sunday, December 8, 2024, the information about the losses of Russian occupiers has been updated.
Update on the losses of Russian occupiers
The RF in the war against Ukraine as of December 8 has suffered the following losses:
- personnel - about 753370 (+1460) people;
- tanks - 9519 (+5) units;
- armored fighting vehicles - 19571 (+36) units;
- artillery systems - 21058 (+3) units;
- MLRS - 1253 (+0) units;
- air defense systems - 1023 (+1) units;
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units;
- helicopters - 329 (+0) units;
- operational-tactical drones - 20071 (+29);
- cruise missiles - 2857 (+0) units;
- ships/boats - 28 (+0) units;
- submarines - 1 (+0) unit;
- automotive and tanker vehicles - 30965 (+17) units;
- special equipment - 3635 (+2).
Activity of the occupiers' fleet as of December 8
- One enemy ship without missiles is present in the Black Sea.
- No enemy ships are present in the Sea of Azov.
- One enemy ship, which is a carrier of 'Kalibr' cruise missiles and can launch up to 16 such missiles, is present in the Mediterranean Sea.
Passage through the Kerch Strait over the past day
- To the Black Sea - 0 vessels;
- To the Sea of Azov - one vessel, of which 0 continued movement through the Bosporus Strait.
The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 (SOLAS) by shutting down automatic identification systems (AIS).
Currently, the 1019th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
