The Ukrainian government disagrees with the media reports about cooperation with the United States during the sinking of the cruiser 'Moscow'. This was stated by a spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during a telethon. He stated that the information published in The New York Times is not true. 'We did not receive any coordinates regarding the location of the cruiser 'Moscow'. The operation to destroy the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet was fully planned and carried out by the Ukrainian Navy,' he emphasized. According to him, the military was provided with information about the strike, but the leadership was exclusively Ukrainian. 'The information about coordination and precise data regarding the location is not true. Just as the claim that it needed to be approved is also untrue,' he added. According to The New York Times article, the United States was dismayed by Ukraine's actions when it sank the cruiser 'Moscow' without warning. This incident reflects divergences between Ukraine and the United States at the beginning of the full-scale war. In addition, Russia was preparing to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine in 2022.
