A day of mourning was declared in the Sumy community on May 15 after the shelling of an industrial facility. This was reported by the mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar. Earlier, hostile attacks occurred in the city of Sumy, resulting in casualties and dozens of injuries.
As a result of the missile strike on the industrial facility in Sumy, two people were killed, and nine others were injured, with two in critical condition. Russian forces carried out the attack using missiles and drones, leading to suffering in several regions of Ukraine.
Analysis
In response to the rising tensions in Eastern Ukraine, President Zelensky decided to meet with Putin in Turkey. This could open up new opportunities for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but Ukrainian forces are preparing to respond to any further provocations from Russia.
