A 18-year-old skier died in France during training.

Tragic death of French champion Margaux Simon
In France, during training at the Red Bull Alpine Park competition, Margaux Simon, former French U18 slalom champion, died. Immediate assistance was provided, but her life could not be saved. The Albertville prosecutor's office is investigating this tragedy.
'FIS expresses its heartfelt condolences to Margaux's family and loved ones and offers its full support during this incredibly difficult Time,' the federation's statement said.
The Red Bull Alpine Park competition was organized by 2022 Olympic slalom champion Clément Noël, with many athletes participating.
Tragedies also occurred during other sporting events. During the half-marathon in Almaty, two participants died from pulmonary artery embolism. A participant in the Movistar Madrid Medio Maratón also died from sudden cardiac arrest near the finish line. Another participant also died due to heart problems.
These tragic events underscore the importance of safety during sporting events and the provision of timely medical assistance. More attention must be paid to the safety of participants and ensuring proper medical support. The incidents at the Red Bull Alpine Park competition and half-marathons in Almaty and Madrid require further analysis to improve safety at sporting events.
