British tennis player Harriet Dart apologized for her remarks about Frenchwoman Luia Boisson during a match in Rouen. As a result of the game, Boisson won with a score of 6:0, 6:3. During the match, Dart addressed the chair umpire and made a comment about an unpleasant smell coming from Boisson. The referee did not react to this, and the game continued. However, Dart later apologized for her words in a social media post, stating that she respects Boisson and takes full responsibility for her actions. Harriet Dart is ranked 110th in the WTA world rankings.
U.S. Vice President JD Vance broke the trophy while presenting an award to the Buckeyes football team. This team was honored after winning the NCAA tournament. When Vance tried to take the trophy, it broke into two pieces. The U.S. Vice President jokingly said he broke the trophy to ensure it didn't end up in the wrong hands.
