It became known that besides gunpowder, the Russian Federation produced at the Murom plant.

According to the head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Timochka, the defense plant in Murom, hit by drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), was an important target. He noted that this plant, which is part of the Rostec corporation, produced not only gunpowder but also defense systems against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Solaris system developed at this plant had unique capabilities, including incapacitating and intercepting control over UAVs.
On the night of April 30, drones attacked the Russian Federation, leading to restrictions at three airports. As a result of the drone strikes, a large fire occurred at the Murom plant. According to local residents, the attacked facility was the Murom Instrument Engineering Plant, which specializes in the production of pyrotechnic devices and firefighting equipment.
Sources in the SBU confirmed that the drones from the SBU that hit the plant produce products for conducting war against Ukraine - the Murom Instrument Engineering Plant.
Analysis:
The drone attack on the defense plant in Murom may have serious consequences for the Russian Air Force. The plant that was the target of the attack not only produced gunpowder but also developed defense systems against drones. This means that the Russian Federation could suffer losses not only in direct fire combat but also in the area of combat support and control over UAVs. The attack demonstrates the growing capabilities of Ukrainian security forces in the field of unmanned technologies, which could be significant in the context of combat operations in eastern Ukraine.
