Sikorski commented on the idea of creating a single European army.

Poland against the creation of a unified military formation in Europe
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski opposed the creation of a unified military formation in Europe. He expressed his position during a comment on the proposal by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the establishment of a European army.
"We need to be careful with this term because people understand different things by it," emphasized the Polish minister.
According to Sikorski, the unification of the national armies of European countries is impossible; however, the European Union should develop its defense capabilities.
The minister noted that the EU has already begun forming a reinforced brigade. He emphasized the importance of a multi-component approach to strengthening European defense, including national and NATO components, as well as EU investments in the defense industry and increasing production capacity.
