Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, in his interview for 'RBK-Ukraine', spoke about the possibility of a 30-day ceasefire.
Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine and the United States are ready for a truce. After important negotiations in Jeddah, the outcomes indicate several conclusions; Ukraine and the USA wish to achieve a just peace for Ukraine and end the war this year.
'The Ukrainian side is ready, the American side is ready. Recently, there have been many diplomatic activities, which can be explained by our strategic goal - achieving a just comprehensive peace for Ukraine and ending the war this year. Therefore, we are intensifying all our diplomatic efforts at all levels. As for the negotiations in Jeddah, they were extremely important. With their results, we can draw several conclusions,' the minister reported.
Sybiha also stated that these negotiations indicate that Ukraine is not hindering the achievement of peace, but on the contrary, strives for it, while some other parties wish for war.
The minister noted that by supporting the US proposal for a truce, Ukraine has demonstrated its readiness to achieve a just peace. Now, the responsibility for diplomacy lies with Russia, which must respond unconditionally.
