Attack on Ukraine: details of the strike
On the night of May 26, the enemy launched a combined strike on Ukraine using 364 air attack means. This information was provided by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the 'Hlavcom' portal.
- It should be noted that Russia launched nine air-launched X-101 cruise missiles and 355 strike drones. The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems.
'According to preliminary data as of 11:00, the air defense forces shot down all nine X-101 cruise missiles, neutralized 288 enemy Shahed-type drones, and drones of other types in the east, north, south, west, and center of the country,' the report stated.
In particular, 233 'Shaheds' were shot down by fire damage means, 55 were location-wise lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
Five enemy air attack means were recorded hitting locations, and downed strike drones fell at 10 locations. Russian invaders massed attacks on the Starokostiantyniv community in Khmelnytskyi and the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.
According to the provided data, the Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled the attack, destroying a significant portion of enemy missiles and drones, confirming the high combat readiness of Ukrainian military personnel.
