The Deputy Spokesperson of the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, stated that Israel's response to Iran's missile strike should halt the escalation of conflict in the region. She is convinced that the response of each side should be powerful, but she hopes it will end the principle of 'an eye for an eye'.
Singh emphasized that Israel struck back in response to Iran's actions, so the latter should not retaliate again. She noted that on October 1, Iran launched two hundred ballistic missiles at civilian populated areas, whereas Israel bombed military targets. This response should lead to a reduction in tension and escalation of the conflict.
