An investigation into a possible shooting incident involving two Ukrainian military personnel has begun in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
On November 11, 2024, a publication with a video was found on social media, showing presumably Russian armed forces shooting at two unarmed Ukrainian military personnel in the Kursk direction.
Law enforcement authorities emphasized that this killing of prisoners of war is a violation of the Geneva Conventions and has international implications.
Within the framework of the criminal investigation, urgent investigative actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances of the event and hold those responsible accountable, reported the Prosecutor General's Office.
It should be noted that a video of a shooting incident involving two Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Kursk region surfaced on social media. This information was confirmed by Dmytro Lubinets, authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights.
In addition, in Donetsk region, occupiers killed six captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. The Russians also shot prisoners of the National Guard near Selydove.
Furthermore, on the Bahmut direction, Russian occupiers shot a wounded Ukrainian military serviceman who was captured. Information also emerged about another war crime by Russian troops near Selydove.
It is also worth noting that Russia often returns dismembered bodies of Ukrainian prisoners of war to their relatives, possibly to cover up torture evidence.
