Nova Poshta alerts clients about cyber fraudsters
The press service of 'Nova Poshta' reported that fake messages about debts have appeared.
Fraudsters are sending letters to Ukrainians on behalf of the well-known brand 'Nova Poshta' demanding payment of debts. The company emphasizes that these messages are fraudulent and have nothing to do with them.
'Fraudsters use trust in well-known brands and manipulate sensitive information - they claim there is a debt,' the message states.
Therefore, 'Nova Poshta' urges its clients to follow cyber security rules:
- Check the sender's address. Original letters from 'Nova Poshta' are sent only from official domains.
- Do not open letters from unknown senders and do not click on links.
- If you opened a letter or attachment, immediately change your passwords in your accounts and check active sessions.
- Enable two-factor authentication for your email to protect your account.
- If you received a suspicious letter, move it to spam and delete it.
- The company is blocking the network of servers from which these letters are sent.
Additionally, it is recommended for users who tried to open attachments in these letters to take the following actions:
- Install antivirus software and perform a complete check of the device.
- Completely reinstall the operating system to eliminate potential threats if malware is detected.
These recommendations will help protect your data and avoid risks.
Furthermore, Ukrposhta plans to introduce 'weightless' tariffs for parcel delivery.
