Nova Poshta plans to lay off 2900 employees
The largest Ukrainian private postal operator, 'Nova Poshta', plans to lay off about 2900 employees by the end of the current year. This accounts for 10% of the company's total workforce. The management is auditing the work of 7000 office employees, planning to transfer half of them to other positions or lay them off.
Despite the layoffs, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development continues financial support for 'Nova Poshta'. The company has a network of over 12,000 branches and 27,000 parcel lockers, serving over 11 million customers across Ukraine every month. The company's financial indicators, despite contentious dynamics, showed an increase in net income in the first quarter of 2025 but a decrease in net profit.
Despite the reduction in the number of employees, 'Nova Poshta' continues to receive financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The company continues its operations, serving millions of customers across the country through its developed network of branches and parcel lockers.Read also
