Not sorry for civilians: military statement after the Kropyvnytskyi strike outraged the internet.

As a result of the terrible tragedy in Kropyvnytskyi, which occurred on April 4 and took the lives of 20 people, that evening, military officer Andrii Batiukov made a statement that caused a great wave of indignation in society.
In his Facebook post, quoted by Glavkom, Batiukov stated, 'I am never sorry for civilians. Every Time a certain number of them dies, I ask - how many of them have a father or mother, husband or wife serving?'. This statement caused outrage on the internet.
One user asked Batiukov if he felt sorry for the deceased children, to which he replied: 'If the parents are draft dodgers? No.'
Many users condemned Batiukov's statement, noting that there are cases when a person serves on the front lines while their relatives suffer from shelling.
However, there were also those who supported the military, claiming that he correctly expressed his position. However, after much discussion, Batiukov disabled comments on his post.
Later, Batiukov explained his post, asserting that if people stood up to defend their homes and joined the Armed Forces, there would be fewer casualties. 'I condemn Ukrainian civil society, where a large number of draft dodgers evade addressing the problem. I do not understand this and have no sympathy for it. And when we see that after the tragedy, no one comes to enlist in the army to prevent the killing of people, children, women next time, all this sympathy means nothing,' Batiukov wrote.
