The most romantic city in the world is closing its account on a popular social network.

The Paris city administration has decided to leave platform X due to the spread of misinformation and hostile rhetoric on Elon Musk's social network. This was announced on Paris's PR account.
According to reports, initially using this platform was 'difficult', and then it became completely 'impossible'.
'Paris will close its account on January 20. This is a difficult decision, but it is necessary to unite society through peaceful means of self-expression. Now, more than ever, Paris seeks facts and truthful information,' the message states.
It is also reported that Paris is transitioning to the social network Bluesky.
The PR account claims that platform X limits the dissemination of objective messages, promotes the spread of hate speech and misinformation, and poses a problem without moderation.
Information has also been confirmed that in 2023, the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, left platform X, calling it a 'dump' and a 'weapon of mass destruction for our democracies'.
'This platform and its owner deliberately stir tension and conflict... Let's not be naive. This is an obvious political project aimed at rejecting democracy and its values in favor of powerful private interests,' Hidalgo wrote in her last message.
It is also reported that participants of the summer Olympics, which took place in Paris, returned over 100 damaged medals to the tournament's organizing committee.
