Zaporizhzhia NPP Power Supply Line Disconnected.

On August 23, the high-voltage power supply line was disconnected at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This was reported by the Russian agency «Rosatom» on Telegram.
The occupiers did not report the reasons for the incident but stated that the radiation background at the station and its surrounding area had not changed.
«At the Zaporizhzhia NPP on August 23, 2024, the automatic system disconnected the 330kV high-voltage power supply line «Ferroalloy-1», – the «Rosatom» report said.
According to the Russian agency, after the transmission line was disconnected, electricity continued to be supplied from the 750kV line «Dnipro».
Currently, the station continues to operate normally, without any violations of safety boundaries or conditions, and the radiation background has not changed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that it would be possible to talk about a safe situation near the Zaporizhzhia NPP only when the station is returned to Ukrainian control. For two years, Russian occupiers have controlled the largest nuclear power plant in Europe – the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This poses a fundamental threat to the radiation safety of Ukraine, Europe, and the world.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russian occupiers had caused a fire on the ZNPP territory. Despite radiation levels remaining normal, the situation remains dangerous due to the prolonged occupation of the station by Russian troops.
