Every day at 9 AM, we honor the memory of all who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember Roman Dyakovsky.

Roman Dyakovsky passed away on April 21, 2025, a defender of Ukraine. This information was reported by the Lviv City Council, citing the General Command.

Roman Dyakovsky was born on December 1, 1978, in Lviv. He studied at Secondary School No. 64 in Lviv, obtained a cook's profession at Vocational Technical School No. 27, and graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

For 20 years, he led LLC 'Legin', and later worked at LLC 'Firma Vikant'. From 2018 to 2024, he worked as a loader at LLC 'Van Leeuwen Ukraine'.

According to relatives, Roman was a kind person and loved his family very much. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom picking in his free Time.

After the Russian aggression, he joined the 150th Separate Mechanized Brigade and defended our country in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Toretsk, and Kherson directions. He also cooked food for his comrades on the front line.

Roman Dyakovsky passed away on April 21, 2025.

The funeral took place on April 25, 2025, at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Lviv. He was buried at the Holoskivskyi Cemetery (veterans' field).

He is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.

The General Command joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the fight for our homeland. We remember those who perished at the hands of Russian invaders and light candles of remembrance, honoring the memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for our freedom and independence — military personnel, civilians, and children, those who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of enemy attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
