Macron urged Putin to prove his intentions regarding peace
French President Emmanuel Macron, after meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in Rome, called on the Russian president to demonstrate a real willingness to end the war. According to Macron, 'now it is up to President Putin to prove that he truly wants peace.'
In his post on social media, Macron stated that Zelensky confirmed Ukraine's desire to achieve an unconditional ceasefire and readiness to work with American and European partners to achieve this goal. It was also noted that the 'coalition of the willing' would continue joint efforts in this direction.

Zelensky's visit to Rome was filled with diplomatic meetings. The Ukrainian president held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during which the parties agreed to maintain intensive joint efforts to find ways to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Additionally, Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and began negotiations with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
Earlier, a psychologist analyzed the body language of Zelensky and Trump in a photo from Pope Francis's funeral.
