China responded to accusations of supplying weapons to parties in the war in Ukraine.


The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects accusations of supplying weapons to Ukraine to any party in the conflict. Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Go Jiaqun, stated at a briefing that Beijing adheres to calls for peaceful negotiations and actively promotes political resolution of the crisis.
The Chinese diplomat also criticized NATO for 'escalating the conflict', accusing the Alliance of attempts to increase military spending and expand its power and influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
In his position, Go Jiaqun asserts that NATO's false information cannot manipulate the world, and his country has never provided weapons to either side of the conflict and strictly controls the export of dual-use goods.
Support for political resolution of the crisis
In the context of the conflict in Ukraine, China rejects accusations of supplying weapons and actively supports the political resolution of the crisis. Furthermore, the Chinese diplomat criticizes NATO for 'escalating the conflict' and attempts to increase influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
