Kyrylo Budanov Celebrates Birthday.


The chief intelligence officer of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, is celebrating his 39th birthday today. He was born in Kyiv and studied at the Odesa Institute of Ground Forces. After graduating, he served in the special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense. Since 2014, he has participated in military operations against Russian occupiers in eastern Ukraine. During this Time, he suffered several injuries, including a serious one. In 2016, he led a special operation of the GUR on the territory of occupied Crimea, during which a unit of the FSB 'Vimpel' was destroyed. In 2020, he became the deputy director of the Department of Foreign Intelligence of Ukraine, and later headed the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

On April 3, 2022, Budanov was promoted to major general, and on September 7, 2023, he received the rank of lieutenant general.
