The mobile operator lifecell has improved the quality of VoLTE calls by using the new EVS voice codec.

The new EVS (Enhanced Voice Services) voice codec will allow conversations to be clearer and more dynamic.

As of April 2025, 733 thousand subscribers were using VoLTE services, which is a 17% increase compared to 2024.

The most active cities where VoLTE is used are Kyiv (18% of subscribers), Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, and Cherkasy.

There are about 3.8 million devices in the lifecell network that support VoLTE, which is 46% of the total number of smartphones.

One of the main advantages of the technology is fast call connection: 2-3 seconds (compared to 5-6 seconds in 3G networks). In Kyiv, this figure is even better – just 1.8 seconds.
