Ischinger: Munich-2025 did not provide answers regarding peace in Ukraine.

Disappointment of expectations from the Munich Security Conference
The President of the Munich Security Conference Foundation and its former chairman Wolfgang Ischinger expressed disappointment that the expectations of many have not been met, but calls not to lose optimism.
'Unfortunately, the expectations of many of us when we traveled to Munich this year were not met. We had hoped that this conference would clarify the path to discussions on how to end this war, the path to specific negotiations,' Ischinger stated in a comment to Ukrinform, summarizing the results of this year's forum.
Ischinger believes that it is currently unknown what role Europe may play in achieving peace, as well as how the Ukrainian voice will be taken into account.
Although he is disappointed with what has happened over the past three to four days, Ischinger urges to be pessimistic, as discussions and negotiations are just beginning and Time will tell whether they will lead to success.
Ischinger also notes that until now there have only been two phone calls made, and everything else still needs discussion and decision-making.
He urges not to jump to conclusions as there are many options that can lead to resolving the conflict.
