Fico proposed urgent gas transit negotiations with Zelensky.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia offers to meet Zelensky at the border
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been invited to meet with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, at the Slovak-Ukrainian border to address gas transit issues. Fico emphasized that this matter concerns the entire European Union, not just Ukraine and Slovakia.
The Prime Minister declined to comment on Zelensky's statement and suggested holding the meeting at the railway connection between Kyiv and Košice, which was established through the joint efforts of both countries. Fico stressed that such a meeting could help resolve the gas supply issues.
Additionally, the Prime Minister noted that he is facing problems with his coalition partners and that there is an internal political crisis in Slovakia. He warned that if these differences are not resolved by March, the country could face early elections.
The opposition believes that Fico is trying to divert attention from domestic issues and get closer to Russia. It's also worth noting that the Prime Minister's policy is aimed at creating an impression of his significance on the international stage.
