Funding of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex by the European Union using Russian assets is not only support for the Ukrainian economy, but also recognition of the high quality of military products.
This opinion was expressed by Ph.D. in Economics, chief consultant of the Center for Foreign Policy Studies of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Ivan Us in the FREEДOM program.
"Recognition that the Ukrainian military-industrial complex demonstrates excellent results, which we see in the daily attacks of our drones on Russian territory. And, accordingly, there will be money, there will be production. These are prospects, by the way, for the development of the economy forward, since all these drones can be repurposed from the military to the non-military sphere. Here, as they say, windows of opportunity are opening,”he noted.
The expert added that this recognition is also important because it opens up prospects for cooperation.
"It will also facilitate the creation of joint companies between Ukraine and the EU. And individual companies of the military-industrial complex of the European Union will want to come to Ukraine, as they will feel that there will be investments, there will be money here... Which, again, will be important for us both at the stage of conducting full-scale war and at the stage of building the post-war economy of Ukraine,”emphasized Ivan Us.
