Former NATO Adviser Assesses the Likelihood of a Coup Against Putin.

Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense of the United States, Jan Brzezinski, warns that the internal power struggle in Russia could lead to sudden and violent changes. He points out that Russia has already realized this when the mercenaries of the Wagner PMC rose against Moscow. However, Brzezinski acknowledges that Putin firmly holds Russia in his grasp and emphasizes that the authoritarian regime could collapse quickly when faced with a split.
Regarding President Donald Trump's position on the war in Ukraine, Brzezinski notes that after being re-elected, Trump changed his rhetoric. He now calls Russia an adversary and promises to support Ukraine. Trump also notes that he will impose high tariffs against Russia if it does not end the war and engage in negotiations. Brzezinski admits that he is still somewhat concerned about Trump's position, but hopes for improvement.
