Can Ukraine create nuclear weapons? A well-known nuclear physicist assessed the potential and named the timeline.

Nuclear physicist Volodymyr Krasnorutskyi stated that in 15 years Ukraine may have the ability to create nuclear weapons. He believes that despite the difficult situation with science in the country, there are specialists who can develop nuclear weapons.
Krasnorutskyi notes that the situation with specialists is getting worse, but regardless of this, experts can quickly create a team to build a nuclear bomb. However, there is a problem with obtaining permission to work with uranium above 90% and acquiring plutonium that needs to be solved. He also points out that it is necessary to create a corresponding industry in the country.
Krasnorutskyi denies that he supports the development of nuclear weapons but believes that if nuclear energy is actively developed in Ukraine, it will create opportunities for other aspects of using nuclear technologies, including armament.
