This will be terrible: Poland warns Trump against 'historical mistake'.

Poland urges U.S. President Donald Trump to refrain from making a 'historical mistake' regarding Russia. This was stated by the head of the Polish Council on Cooperation with Ukraine, Pawel Kowal. He warns that if Trump allows the recognition of Russia's claims to Crimea and other occupied territories, it will be a 'historical mistake'. For Poland and Central Europe, it will be crossing a 'red line'. Kowal emphasizes the importance of maintaining international legal guarantees of borders in Central Europe, as this ensures peace in the region.
Kowal is convinced that Trump will not allow Russia to control Ukrainian territory but recognizes the ongoing threat from Putin. At the same Time, he believes that American companies will not invest in Ukraine after the war unless they receive serious security guarantees. Therefore, Kyiv and its European allies are striving to obtain such guarantees from the U.S.
Rutte has already assessed Ukraine's prospects for joining NATO under Trump.
