Ukrainian universities have increased tuition fees in 2025, which may become a heavy burden for future students. Detailed data on prices was published by leading universities in the country.
Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko
Tuition fees range from 39,790 to 66,755 hryvnias per year. Particularly expensive are the specialties 'Law', 'Cybersecurity', 'International Relations' and 'English Language with Additional Foreign Language and Literature'. However, pedagogical programs, geological sciences, and mathematical specialties remain more accessible.
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
Tuition prices at Taras Shevchenko vary from 43,800 to 95,600 hryvnias for the first year. The highest expenses are on the program 'International Commerce and Investment'. Some management programs cost around 79,600 hryvnias, while the prices for natural sciences are slightly cheaper - 43,800 hryvnias per year.
National Technical University of Ukraine 'Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute'
The tuition cost at this university ranges from 44,900 to 67,600 hryvnias per year. Humanitarian and management profile programs are the most expensive. The prices for IT specialties have significantly increased, particularly for 'Computer Science', 'Cybersecurity' and 'Software Engineering'. Meanwhile, traditional engineering and natural sciences specialties remain more accessible.
State Trade and Economic University
This institution offers the lowest prices ranging from 33,500 to 42,200 hryvnias. Education in management will cost 42,200 hryvnias, design and computer sciences - 38,000, and the cheapest program is 'Mathematical Modeling and Artificial Intelligence' for 33,500 hryvnias.
The increase in tuition fees in Ukrainian universities in 2025 may pose a challenge for students with a limited budget. There is a significant difference in tuition fees between different universities and specialties.
